Typical Island Trip
Overnight island trips depart Pierpoint Landing at 8:00 PM.  Upon arrival at the island the crew will put squid light in the water in order to catch more bait and attract game fish.   Clients can fish or stay in their bunk, however, we definitely recommend that you fish all night but if not our crew will be fishing and wake up passengers when the fish start biting.  Depending on what island you are fishing the departure time will be relative to travel time required to return to Pierpoint Landing at 6:00 PM the next evening.  For instance San Clemente Island is a five hour run, Santa Barbara Island is four hours and Catalina Island is two hours.  The target species for island trips are white sea bass, yellowtail, halibut and calico bass.  

Offshore/Outer Banks
Departure time and return time is the same for offshore trips and we will load up on fin bait before leaving Long Beach.  Travel times and distance depends on where the fish are but upon arriving in the zone we will start fishing.  Our crew always wants to try for swordfish and will deploy deep drop rigs at varied depths in hopes of catching a swordfish or mako shark.  At daylight we will start trolling and looking for signs of fish.  On offshore trips we will be targeting albacore, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dorado and yellowtail.  We are always looking for marlin and we caught two last year on an overnight trip. 

What To Bring
You will be gone for twenty-two hours on these trips and need to bring your own food and drinks.  We have a full galley on board; microwave, stove, oven, sink, refrigerators, coffeemaker and toaster.  Charter clients have full use of the galley and can put their drinks in our coolers, we will provide ice.  Weather can vary so you need to adjust your clothing accordingly.  We provide fresh linens on board every day but if you would like to take a shower you need to bring your own towel.  Fish cleaning is provided as well as coffee.  Don't forget your sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and a camera for the memories.
